01 / What AMC do
When the lift will not take a lorry-mounted crane, it takes a machine that fits through a doorway, spreads its legs on a floor slab and still picks the load. That is the whole job here: getting weight into places a normal crane cannot reach.
A Mini Crane Hire has been doing it since 2009, with a fleet of mini and spider cranes, glazing robots, vacuum lifters and truck mounted units, plus the crews and lift plans to go with them.

Most mini crane firms run from one yard, which means the machine you want is either close to you or a long drive away. AMC hold fleet at both ends of the country, so the deciding factor on a booking is the right machine for the lift, not which depot happens to be nearest.

take a machine
- Contract lifting
- AMC take on the appointed person duty, the lift plan and the crew, so the lift sits with the specialist rather than the main contractor.
- Operated hire
- Machine and trained operator supplied together, with the lift plan and supervision held by the hiring site team.
- Self drive hire
- Machine only, released to a site with its own trained and certified operators.
- Site survey and planning
- Access, ground bearing and lift geometry checked before a machine is booked, so the right unit turns up first time.
